Start with the Serving Size.
Amounts on the Supplement Facts panel are listed per serving. A serving may be one capsule, two capsules, or a different quantity. The number of capsules in the bottle is not always the number of servings.
Look at the Ingredient Form.
Names in parentheses identify the form of a vitamin, mineral, or other ingredient. Keep those details in view when comparing formulas. A different form on its own doesn’t make one product better than another.
Compare the Declared Amounts.
Compare products using the same serving basis and units. Some blends state a total amount without giving an amount for each ingredient. An extract ratio and a milligram amount describe different things.
Read the Rest of the Label.
Other ingredients, allergen statements, directions, and cautions are part of the decision. Review them alongside the Supplement Facts panel.
Bring Questions to the Right Person.
A healthcare professional can help you consider your individual needs, existing supplements, medications, and health conditions. A label comparison is not a diagnosis or a personal recommendation.
